Classroom Information
Preschool students are welcomed each morning by a friendly staff member who checks them in. After putting away their belongings, students select their jobs for the day, such as the flag holder, the line leader, or the weather reporter. Circle time happens next, where the children have the opportunity to answer the question of the day, review topics like the calendar and weather, and hear an overview of the lessons for the day. We are a kindergarten-prep program so our focus is on emerging literacy skills and early math using theme-based lessons to build background knowledge while engaging our students in activities to help them learn their letters, numbers, shapes and colors.
Individual and small group centers allow students to engage with each other and their teacher in a play-based way for an interactive learning experience. Additionally, students are exposed to art, science, music, and religion. We are a Catholic preschool where our faith shines through in all that we do. We pray every day, celebrate religious feast days, and teach our students that we are called to serve one another through service projects throughout the year.
The safety and health of our students and staff is our number one priority. We engage in regular handwashing and sanitizing of play surfaces. We encourage healthy snacks and lunch options and our students get daily physical activity including playing outside.
Please, come check us out! We would love to meet you!
